Cost for coverage

You pay for vision coverage through biweekly paycheck deductions. The amount you pay is determined by who you cover and whether you’re full-time or part-time.

How to enroll

You can enroll in vision insurance on SmartSource as a new hire, during open enrollment or if you experience a qualifying life event.

Coverage begins the first of the month following the date you were hired or became eligible for benefits.

Paying for vision care expenses

You can contribute pre-tax to a health care flexible spending account (FSA) to pay eligible vision expenses.

When you use an out-of-network physician or provider or the Wilmer Eye Institute, you’ll pay out-of-pocket for exams and materials and submit receipts to Superior Vision for reimbursement.

If you receive an eye exam through Wilmer, you can choose to purchase glasses or contact lenses through Wilmer or take your prescription to an in-network provider.
