All employees are eligible for subsidized backup care through Bright Horizons and free tools and referrals to find caregivers.

On-site child care options are available to employees at certain hospitals and member organizations.

Subsidized backup care for children and adults

You have 10 days of subsidized backup care each year through Bright Horizons for when your regular caregiving arrangements for children, adults or elders are unavailable during work hours.

You can book backup care up to 90 days in advance or last minute on the Bright Horizons website or Backup Care mobile app (App Store | Google Play) .

Bright Horizons also offers free Sittercity y Years Ahead memberships, preferred enrollment at most Bright Horizons centers and tuition discounts at partner network centers.

All Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) employees can take advantage of the Weinberg Early Childhood Center.

Other on-site child care programs are available at certain hospitals and member organizations.

Weinberg Early Childhood Center

El Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Early Childhood Center , operated by Downtown Baltimore Child Care at the Henderson-Hopkins School, is a premier early learning facility for infants, toddlers and preschool children up to age 4. Priority admission is available to employees who primarily work at the East Baltimore campus.

Johns Hopkins Child Care and Early Learning Center

Available to full-time employees at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins Health System and Bayview Medical Center

The Johns Hopkins Child Care and Early Learning Center , operated by Bright Horizons at the East Baltimore campus, offers full-time on-site child care for children ages six weeks through preschool.

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Child Care Center

Available to Bayview Medical Center employees who work 30+ hours per week

El Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Child Care Center , operated by Bright Horizons at the Bayview Medical Center campus, offers part-time or full-time on-site child care for preschool children ages 2–5.
